Our collaboration preserves this philosophy while exploring a new application for its outer shell. Teijin Frontier’s Vinylon is a high-performance textile that resembles waxed canvas but performs like high-tenacity nylon. Its hydrophobic properties keep products dry and lightweight, whereas air-textured nylon absorbs water and becomes heavier when wet.
